Congress leader Oommen Chandy said that the party's decision to avoid young leaders from Congress candidate list for Lokh Sabha Election is a well thought out tactics to strengthen the party. Not to consider P.C.C presidents, Youth Congress presidents and N.S.U presidents as candidates is a top-level resolution by the Congress Central Committee. It is the reason why Hibi Eden and T.Siddique were not given candidature, Chandy said. The ire against the omission of some youth leaders who were strongly expected to figure in the list led to open protests.
